 Vincent, note that feature creep like this is the reason 3.2 was not
 released mid 2011 in the first place. We happened to agree that certain
 features were needed in 3.2 and adding them to the original roadmap has
 set back the stable release by most of a year. If it were not for that
 arm twisting the 3.2.0.8+patches which are already being used widely in
 production would very likely have been a 3.2 stable.
