Solved: FD's again: ulimit shows 1024, but recompiled squid...

Hello Squid-Users,

it seems that something went wrong with the patch or I did something wrong.
However, when I had a look at some header files, I found the following:
In the file /usr/src/include/fs.h the define line for NR_OPEN was still set
to 256
Now the problem pointed out more clearly, because in
/usr/src/include/limits.h
there was a line which reads as follows #define MAX_OPEN
NR_OPEN

After changing this, recompiling the kernel and a reboot squid worked fine
without
any further recompilation and cachemanager now shows 1024 FDs.
