You might want to check the FAQ at squid-cache.org. There are differences
in what information is recorded in the access log when you set the option
to on that may impact programs that you use to analyze cache activity.

I use Webalizer 2.01-06 to generate periodic reports (every 3 hours) of
Web activity. The program understands both CLF and Squid logging formats
and can generate the activity reports and graphs for Apache and Squid.

Using an earlier version of Webalizer I attempted to generate a composite
report that covered all of the virtual web sites hosted on the system. It
was not a success. There appeared to be a tacit assumption that if CLF
was being used that the log was for a single web site and the host element
of the URL was removed.
