you don't need to have two nic card. you can do the same thing
using one ethernet card. you should use ip masquarading. you can
get more information from http://www.linux.com/howto/IP-Masquerade-HOWTO.html

  hello all,

  i have setup rh7.1 linux and want to use this machine only as squid proxy server.

  i have about 10 machines who's
  i/p's are 192.168.0.x
  gateway 192.168.0.254
  subnet 255.255.255.0

  and i want them connect to internet through this proxy server

  i want to put this machine (proxy server) in between users and my router
  i heard that i need 2 network card one of them connects to a hub which connects to user machines, and the other to another hub connected to router.

  but i don't know how to setup those in linux, and what else do i need to setup?

  i really appreciate any help from you.
