Any specific reasons to why you are not using the recommended default
values?

I think your values are way above what diskd can support. My current
understanding from the code is that there is a upper queue limit of 96
unless you have changed this as well (SHMBUFS in store_diskd.h). To
this, Q2 needs to have some margin, and if you want Squid to back off
from the disk when loaded then there should be some margin between Q1
and Q2.
