[squid-users] Problem with Dotless IP Address

Hi All,

            I am using Squid 2.4s1 on RH Linux 6.2 , i am trying to access
Dotless ip address through squid but fails, i can ping and traceroute from
the squid machine to that Dotless ip address fine but not through Squid ,
whenevery i tried to access it , it says:

The following error was encountered:

  Unable to determine IP address from host name for 3399
The dnsserver returned:

  Name Error: The domain name does not exist.

  "

  I have already commented out "append_domain" .

  Anyone can shed some light on it.
