Looks like the lowercase code should go in the function

authenticateBasicStart(auth_user_request_t * auth_user_request, RH *
handler, void *data)

which starts on line 558 of src/auth/basic/auth_basic.c

Can you please verify this?

I am looking into the directive thing....
