Can you confirm that your proxy is setup to accept queries on port 3128
(Check your ${SQUID_HOME}/etc/squid.conf) also, check if the machine that
you are executing the query is actually recognised as localhosts. try
$ ping localhost
and see if the machine responds...

when i use client program for purge a object in cache,
i get follow error

 "client -m PURGE http://www.example.com"

client: ERROR: Cannot connect to localhost:3128: host
unknown

help me for solve this problem
