[squid-users] OT: cfgmaker fails to read Squid (noSuchName)

Hello,

I followed the FAQ and got Squid with snmp working and tested my acl's
and connectivity using snmpwalk:
   snmpwalk -v 1 -c #### -m SQUID-MIB squidbox:3401
.1.3.6.1.4.1.3495.1.1

However, from the same box, when I run this: cfgmaker --global
'WorkDir: /home/adam/squid' --snmp-options=:3401::::1 ####@squidbox

I get this: error status: noSuchName
             index 1 (OID: 1.3.6.1.2.1.1)
SNMPv1_Session (remote host: "squidbox" [192.168.1.5].3401)... etc.

MRTG seems to be using it's generic router OID (1.3.6.1.2.1.1) so I
tried editing cfgmaker to change those values to the one I used with
snmpwalk but I don't really know snmp so am kind of stabbing around.

Most of the documentation I've found on the net implies that getting
MRTG working with Squid is easy so I imagine I am missing something
simple, but I've been trying stuff all day and no luck. My plan is to
use MRTG with the mrtg-rrd back end instead of rolling my own RRDTool
stuff. Seems like ther is a lot of info for MRTG and a lot of other
things (like servers) I can monitor with it, so that's why I am going
this route. Squid=2.5STABLE2, Solaris 8, MRTG 2.9.92.

Any suggestions to get cfgmaker working with Squid would be greatly
appreciated.

thanks,

Adam
